About Millfield House SARC
SARC stands for Sexual Assault Referral Centre. Millfield House SARC offers immediate support to anyone 18 or over who has experienced sexual violence, abuse or assault. You do not need to report to the police to access our support.
You can either report to the police who will bring you to the SARC, or you can self refer to us.
You will have the option of a forensic medical examination where a specially trained nurse can gather evidence of the incident. You will be supported throughout this process by one of our Crisis Workers, who will be able to answer any questions you may have.
If you are not sure whether to go to the police, we can store evidence for up to 2 years giving you the breathing space to recover and access additional support. There is also an option to anonymously provide the police with information regarding the crime.
At Millfield House we can provide:
- 24/7 immediate Support.
- Specialist information and advice.
- Face-to-Face support.
- Support through forensic examination and interviews.
- Sexual Violence specialists.
- External referrals to ongoing support.

Our support is client centred, it is your choice how much or little of our services you want to access.
