We would like to say a huge thank you to Ashgates who have supported our charity for this year 2018/2019!
Last year one of their employees, Jenny Cauldwell, set the
bar high with her 1 mile swim at Lake Windermere raising an impressive £746!
This was then followed by a group of very courageous employees taking on the
Three Peaks Challenge!
On 18th August, the Ashgates team gave themselves 24 hours to climb over Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowden. They managed to raise an amazing, and well-deserved, £3691! You can find out more about it here.
Their generosity has been ongoing throughout the year,
including making a donation to us rather than sending out Christmas cards, and
charging DFC fans parking at the weekend; all of which is donated to charity.
This brings the total to a spectacular £5444.15!
We are so grateful for all their efforts; this is the first
time SV2 has been a chosen charity of a business and we are extremely fortunate
that Ashgates were behind us.
As a small organisation dealing with difficult subject
matter, it is sometimes difficult to get our voice heard and reach the people
who are in need of support. This money will make a big difference and enable us
to improve client access to our services.
